Traffic Clerk, Sr. provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk, Sr. contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk, Sr. prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. US Weight/Escalade Sports in Olney IL is seeking an energetic individual to fill a full-time Traffic Coordinator position we have in our shipping department.
Job Purpose: The Traffic Coordinator ensures the accurate and timely printing and distribution of all bills of ladings, labels, and other necessary paperwork for shipments. Ensures compliance with customer packaging and labeling requirements, receives all products, and assists in the investigation of chargebacks.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all shipping documents are printed and distributed in a timely manner.
- Utilizing customer specific TMS sites to route orders for shipping.
- Examining ship windows to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Auditing compliance of customer required label placement locations.
- Auditing compliance of time specific dot.com shipments.
- Receiving all raw material and finished goods inventory in a timely manner.
- Investigating chargebacks from customers in a timely manner.
- Advising freight carriers of pickups either by phone, internet, or email.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of related experience.
- Proficient at MS Office and Excel.
- Accurate data entry skills and computer proficiency.
- AS400 experience is a plus.
- Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with people.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English is required.
- Must have good Math skills.
Physical demands:
- Ability to lift or move 75 pounds.
- Stooping and kneeling.
Post-offer screenings will include a background check and drug test.
