Traffic Director leads and directs the traffic department to efficiently and safely move materials and products to designated destinations. Develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize delivery costs. Being a Traffic Director evaluates and selects appropriate transportation carriers and routes. Resolves delivery issues for both internal and external customers. Additionally, Traffic Director monitors, analyzes, and reviews loss and damage claims and makes recommendations for improved safety. Oversees costs and processes to adhere to budgets. Ensures compliance with all DOT/OSHA guidelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Traffic Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Traffic Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Member Engagement, the Associate Director of Member Engagement carries out activities to support and achieve strategic and operational goals related to chapter management, member engagement, recruitment, and retention activities.
CHAPTER MANAGEMENT:
Manages ATSSA chapters as assigned with the goal of growing chapter membership and participation and promoting a consistent experience for ATSSA members across the chapter network. Act as the main point of contact for chapter leadership and advocate the needs of the chapters to ATSSA national. Specific duties include but not limited to:
Educates chapter leadership and chapter participants on The ATSS Foundation. Promotes events and assists

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience – A bachelor’s degree and five or more years of association membership experience. Substantial relevant experience may be substituted for a degree, member support experience, sales experience.
Skills and Knowledge – Well organized; detail-oriented; able to work independently and as part of a team; able to adapt to changing priorities under pressure; computer literate with a strong focus on MS Office including PowerPoint; professional oral, written, and interpersonal skills; the ability to analyze data to impact change, professional presentation and networking skills; knowledge of foundational membership components and practices.
Preferred Skills & Other:
Preferred Skills – Infrastructure safety experience and sales experience are strongly preferred.
Licenses – Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and the willingness/ability to use personal vehicle during employment.
Additional Notes
Organizational Relationships – Reports to and is supervised by the director of member engagement.
