Traffic Manager develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. Selects appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Being a Traffic Manager analyzes, handles, and reviews loss and damage claims caused by accidents. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Traffic Manager typically reports to a director. The Traffic Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Install and remove traffic devices (signs, drums, barricades, cones) along the interstate. Must have a valid drivers license, good driving record and be able to drive trucks (non-CDL). Must be reliable, hard working and demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
