Traffic Manager develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. Selects appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Being a Traffic Manager analyzes, handles, and reviews loss and damage claims caused by accidents. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Traffic Manager typically reports to a director. The Traffic Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. The team you work with will be highly skilled and trained. the products and company you represent are best-in-classAs a Traffic Coordinator you will:- Complete loaded shipments: verifies back ordered product is not in stock, verifies "on hold" product has not been loaded, codes actual back ordered product with a reason code, completes sales order information with carrier, PRO # and date, prints bills of lading, and files shipped product paperwork
- Answer incoming calls: driving directions, pick up times, product availability, order expedites, member sales, etc.
- Run various reports for order picking and parts locations
- Sign for inbound loads and directs drivers to the correct dock door or trailer drop off location.
Background and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task; must manage multiple priorities/tasks
- Strong organizational skills
- 1-2 years of working in a shipping/receiving department preferred
- Experience with cycle counting, bar coding, computerized pick lists and computerized inventory environment a plus
