Traffic Manager develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. Selects appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Being a Traffic Manager analyzes, handles, and reviews loss and damage claims caused by accidents. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Traffic Manager typically reports to a director. The Traffic Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Responsibilities
- Plan and design medium to large scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Assist with oversight and guidance of projects from initial concept through construction
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals
- Collaborate, mentor and lead as appropriate
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports.
- Perform and review detailed hydraulic calculations.
- Produce effective and high-quality project documents (including reports, drawings, and specifications)
- Assist clients with construction procurement
- Assist with water and wastewater operations and research, hydraulic/process modeling, environmental review, permitting, and project financing
- Provide bidding and construction administration services.
