May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Traffic Manager typically reports to a director. The Traffic Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. The Traffic Manager acts as a liaison between different areas in our broadcast operations and company. As a Radio Traffic Manager, you will use the station’s traffic system to accurately schedule commercials as purchased by advertisers, and other on-air announcements as required by station management.

    We are looking for an experienced broadcast traffic manager/administrator who excels at troubleshooting problems, managing schedules, and coordinating multiple activities at the same time. This is a high intensity position that requires a person who is a proactive communicator, is detail-oriented with proven accuracy, has the ability to work under pressure, and regularly adheres to strict deadlines.

    Position responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Ensure effective and efficient use of the Wide Orbit traffic system
    • Create Daily Log Broadcasts
    • Reconcile daily logs, communicate any discrepancies for make-goods to staff
    • Coordinate log and clock changes with the Programming department, GM, and/or GSM
    • Assist station departments with timing and scheduling of on-air elements
    • Daily tasks include order-entry, commercial log editing, and continuity
    • Train others to use Wide Orbit efficiently
    • Other duties as assigned by manager

    What you will bring to the role:

    • Knowledge and understanding of broadcast traffic operations; prior radio or television experience required
    • Knowledge of Wide Orbit Traffic or Radio Traffic scheduling software
    • At least two years of general office experience, with an emphasis on using computer applications to store data, generate reports, and maintain a database
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to handle conflicts and find solutions

    Pay range: $20.00/hour - $26.00/hour DOE
