Positions Overview:

RNGD is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, supporting informed decision-making across departments. This position involves developing Power BI reports, creating and optimizing SQL queries, and enhancing data collection processes.

Responsibilities:

• Power BI Reporting:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for various departmental stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to understand reporting requirements and ensure the delivery of meaningful insights.

• SQL Query Development:
  • Create and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases.
  • Work closely with IT and other teams to streamline data extraction processes and improve efficiency.

• Data Collection Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data collection processes and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Implement improvements to data quality, data governance, and overall data management practices.

• Technical Skills:
  • Apply expertise in SQL to extract and manipulate data effectively.
  • Leverage Power BI for the creation of interactive and insightful reports.
  • Familiarity with Python and cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a strong plus.

• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven insights.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business Analytics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python or other programming language for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Previous work experience in the construction or related industry.
