    Supervisory Responsibilities: 

    1. None

    Duties/Responsibilities: 

    1. Assists leads as assigned.
    2. Unloads materials that are delivered such as cones, signs, posts or other traffic control devices
    3. Prepares layout area where construction will take place by properly measuring, marking, or recording spacing or distances.
    4. Prepares tools and materials for installation.
    5. Cleans and prepares specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include digging post holes, erecting signs; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash;
    6. Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.
    7. Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.
    8. Motions equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
    9. Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.
    10. Performs other related duties as assigned
    11. Must be clean and well-groomed, clothes must be dress-appropriate and project professionalism, clothes must be clean and good shape. 
    12. Receives calls from supervisor and drives assigned vehicle to location. 
    13. Installs traffic control devices 
    14. Uses truck-mounted attenuator to support operation. 
    15. Operates power tools and equipment when installing or repairing traffic control devices. 
    16. Ensures work environments are adequate and safe. 
    17. Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.

    3. Understanding of traffic control procedures and plans.

    1. Must be able to stoop, squat, crawl, climb, and perform other physical duties as needed for installations. 
    2. Must be able to traverse uneven terrain in all types of weather. 
    3. Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
    4. Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.

    Lead

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    2. Maintain time sheets and accurately inputting time and attendance data. 

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    1. Leads must be able to perform the duties of a Technician.
    2. Drive company automobile and utilize company provided telephone/tablet for company business only, maintain clean and clutter-free. 
    3. Builds stands and digs underground holes to set posts. 
    4. Inspects traffic control devices and related equipment. 
    5. Determines whether posts, signs, truck mounted attenuators, message boards, arrow boards, or other devices are defective. 
    6. Completes records and forms and prepares reports concerning daily activities 
    7. Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes. 

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    1. Must enjoy working with people. 
    2. Ability to remain patient in trying situations. 
    3. Understanding of traffic control procedures and plans. 
    4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    4. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. 
    5. Assesses construction plans to plan work assignments and project schedules. 
    6. Develops maintenance procedures and schedules. 
    7. Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. 
    8. Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific projects. 
    9. Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with region staff; provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives. 
    10. Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff. 
    11. Participates in community activities to promote the organization and to build goodwill.
