Being a Traffic Supervisor schedules drivers and assigns routes to maximize productivity and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company rules. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Traffic Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require a CDL license. The Traffic Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. The team you work with will be highly skilled and trained. the products and company you represent are best-in-classAs a Traffic Coordinator you will:- Complete loaded shipments: verifies back ordered product is not in stock, verifies "on hold" product has not been loaded, codes actual back ordered product with a reason code, completes sales order information with carrier, PRO # and date, prints bills of lading, and files shipped product paperwork
- Answer incoming calls: driving directions, pick up times, product availability, order expedites, member sales, etc.
- Run various reports for order picking and parts locations
- Sign for inbound loads and directs drivers to the correct dock door or trailer drop off location.
Background and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task; must manage multiple priorities/tasks
- Strong organizational skills
- 1-2 years of working in a shipping/receiving department preferred
- Experience with cycle counting, bar coding, computerized pick lists and computerized inventory environment a plus
