Training Administrator is responsible for the coordination of employee and management training programs. Administers a recordkeeping system to track employee training participation and progress. Being a Training Administrator assists in other administrative and budgeting tasks associated with training programs. Coordinates and tracks participation in outside training activities. Additionally, Training Administrator may coordinate or administer skill or competency assessments, career counseling, outplacement, and other specialized training or development programs for employees. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Training Administrator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The AIT program provides comprehensive training and practical experience in all aspects of skilled nursing facility administration, preparing the candidate for a successful career as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in a structured training program covering all areas of nursing home operations, including but not limited to, resident care, staff management, financial operations, facility marketing, and regulatory compliance.
    • Work closely with experienced administrators and department heads to gain hands-on experience in the management and operation of a skilled nursing facility.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure quality care, compliance with state and federal regulations, and operational efficiency.
    • Learn to manage the facility's budget, including analyzing financial statements, overseeing billing processes, and developing strategies for financial performance improvement.
    • Gain experience in human resources management, including recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
    • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities to enhance the quality of care provided to residents.
    • Develop skills in building relationships with residents, families, staff, and the community to foster a positive and supportive environment.
    • Complete all required training modules, assignments, and assessments as part of the AIT program.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Strong interest in pursuing a career in healthcare administration within the skilled nursing or long-term care industry.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
    • Must meet all state-specific requirements to participate in the AIT program and obtain licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in Oklahoma.
