Training Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs. Schedules training events, coordinates with instructors, obtains and distributes required instructional materials, and communicates schedules and details. Being a Training Assistant processes enrollments and answers routine inquiries regarding courses, schedules, and locations. Uses an information system or database to enter data and produce reports on training statistics, inventory levels or assessments of the programs and instructors. Additionally, Training Assistant coordinates additional services including technical equipment, meals and refreshments, housekeeping, maintenance or repairs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Training Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Support and help manage an attractive, warm and challenging learning environment for Head Start children, incorporating appropriate early intervention, learning and care activities which meet the needs of the group as well as those of individual children and families. Applicant will possess a High School Diploma or GED. Head Start experience preferred. Detail and multi-task oriented. Strong organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Must be able to cope with stress. Time spent in strenuous physical activity, lifting up to 50 lbs.
