TRAINING SYSTEM SUPPORT CENTER (TSSC) MANAGER, Kirtland AFB,
Job Description: Focal point for management of the total C-130 Training System Support Center. Acting under the authority of the Program Manager, the TSSC Manager is responsible for supervision of the entire RATS CLS/TSSC Program Training System Support Center (TSSC). The TSSC Manager supervises Engineering, Configuration Management (CM), Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Maintenance, DBGS departments to ensure contract compliance. The TSSC Manager also directs the Operations Support personnel to ensure contract compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the TSSC operations and all personnel assigned.
- Coordinate and schedule TSSC activities to include hardware and software design, modifications, code and test, configuration management functions, TMS support, master library functions, and Cybersecurity.
- Assign functions to subordinates and review completed technical work for compliance with requirements; ensure necessary documentation associated with TSSC modification activity is completed.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as engineering, program management, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and produce proposals responsive to customer needs, as well as recognizing unidentified market opportunities.
- Monitors costs, progress and quality of work and determines solutions to problems encountered.
- Answers complex technical questions escalated from team members.
- Primary contractor point of contact for the monthly Training System Configuration Working Group (TSCWG).
- Acts as principal liaison between the assigned government Contractor Officer's Representatives (CORs) and the Government CLS Project Officer (PO).
- Contract diplomat, liaison, and COR and CLS PO Point of contact for the USAF customer for all TSSC issues.
- Ensure contract compliance for all TSSC operations and maintain good working relationships with all customers.
- Coordinates with TSSC department managers to ensure adequate resources and personnel are available to meet contract requirements.
- Manage the TSSC quality assurance program to ensure AS9100D compliance.
- Responsible for monthly submittals of status reports to meet CDRL requirements.
- Attends necessary weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as required or directed by the Program Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and six years of simulation-related experience or associate degree with 15 years of simulator related experience
- DoD IAT level II Certification is required or will be obtained within 180 days from start of Employment.
- Requires a minimum 2 years in directly related work experience.
- Five years of military management experience.
- Must possess a current U.S. SECRET Security Clearance or above. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Understanding military protocols and customs is essential.
- Must exhibit high performance and capability to work in a team environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
- Must be able to effectively deliver oral presentations to management and customers.
- Must be able to work independently and direct subordinates.
- Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.
- Experience with aircrew training devices is desired.
- Extensive knowledge of military configuration management requirements and SEI Capability Maturity Model Integrated is preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.

Security Clearance and Responsibilities
- Must either have a current security clearance or be fully eligible for the requisite clearance.
- Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.
- Employees will be responsible for proper handling of classified information, materials, and equipment.
- Employees will be required to execute a non-disclosure agreement prior to accessing controlled information.
- Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
