Training Center Manager manages all operational activities of the training center including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers. Develops corporate training center strategies and initiatives that reflect the organizations goals. Being a Training Center Manager prepares business plans that support the operation of the center and adhere to budget. May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training. Additionally, Training Center Manager may be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Training Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To provide case management services for victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, witnesses to violence, at risk of being trafficking or a victim of trafficking; and their non-offending family members involved in the Chenango Child Advocacy Center.
Other duties as assigned may include, but are not limited to:
Provide back-up coverage as well as after-hours and weekend on-call accompaniment for adult and child victims as per agency rotation schedule.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field is preferred. Thorough knowledge of domestic and sexual violence including child abuse. Strong planning, organizational, time management, and administrative skills, strong interpersonal, oral communication and written skills, ability to solve complex problems and demonstrate critical thinking, ability to work independently, strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to develop a positive compassionate rapport with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or other violent trauma. Appreciation and respect for other cultures and people of diverse backgrounds. One to three years’ experience in direct service/case management and program management.
Must agree to complete 40 hours NY State Dept. of Health training and additional ten hours of ongoing, professional education each subsequent calendar year.
