Position: Training Coordinator
Description:
Provide staff training in several areas including New Staff Orientation and specialty training. Provide module and practicum training, utilizing North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities materials and aides. Notifies employees of needed training. Provides records to Human Resources for internal documentation; assists in other trainings needed, including all staff meetings. Provide Therap training to employees. Assist in Representative Payee training for employees. Assist Human Resources as needed. (marketing, recruiting, on-boarding). Assisting with internal investigations as needed or required
Qualifications:
Four-year degree in education or related area. 2 years’ experience working directly with Developmental Disabilities or Meet requirements for Certified Regional Staff Trainer, defined by the ND DD Division; or ability to obtain. Valid driver’s license preferred. Instructor for CPR, AED, First Aid and Therapeutic Responses, or ability to obtain. Ability to perform techniques. Ability to understand adult learning styles.
Ability to work with all staff and present material to ensure comprehension of written and oral training in order to pass tests and to work with people with disabilities. Capable to operate a computer, software programs, and all office equipment. Use proper body mechanics to reduce physical stress and fatigue in the office environment and prevent musculoskeletal disorders. Strong organizational skills and communication skills necessary.
