Training Center Manager manages all operational activities of the training center including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers. Develops corporate training center strategies and initiatives that reflect the organizations goals. Being a Training Center Manager prepares business plans that support the operation of the center and adhere to budget. May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training. Additionally, Training Center Manager may be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Training Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Training Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • SUMMARY: 

    Under direct supervision of an experienced Manager or above, will be responsible for learning all levels of an identified department while assisting management in accomplishing department objectives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Attend all required classes in the Management Development Training program.
    • Train in the identified department at the line level position to the manager level position. Satisfactorily perform all functions and meet all requirements of each position.
    • Under direct supervision, assist management with scheduling, ordering, issuing documentation, coaching, creating and issuing annual reviews, ensuring correct staffing levels for business needs, financial statements and forecast statements and with the hiring process.
    • Acts as an ACES and T.R.I.F. role model, reporting to assigned shift on time, fostering a positive and enthusiastic work environment for all employees.  Builds relationships with other departments, encourages teamwork, and respect, while providing excellent guest service.
    • Listens to, evaluates and handles guest comments in a way that satisfies the guest to their satisfaction.
    • Is held accountable for confidentiality and accuracy of departmental/company records and reports.
    • Works in and ensures a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized environment.
    • Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policies.
    • Attends all meetings in the identified department.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    College degree and/or minimum of three to five years managerial experience, or a combination of education and management experience required.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. 

    This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.  Ability to write effective reports and memos.  Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests.  Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.  

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
