May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training. Additionally, Training Center Manager may be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Job Description:
Position: Training Registered Nurse
Responsible To: Nursing Coordinator/Program Director/Assistant Program Director
PAY RANGE- $38 - $41
Sign on Bonus: $2,500!
Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensure all staff Hep B vaccination are kept up to date.
Schedule and oversee AMAP classes are conducted quarterly for Residence Counselors. Oversee that Passes are completed following completion of course and Residence Counselors are trained in accordance with OPWDD guidelines and regulations.
Monitoring certification and supervision of all staff dispensing medication. Determine recertification of AMAP staff annually.
Provide in-service training to staff upon hire and annually thereafter on HIV, Hep B, Infections Control, Dietary consistencies, Incident Review and other trainings according to Gan Kavod policy and OPWDD regulations.
Supervise the training of individuals in the area of self-administering medication, as feasible.
Work flexible hours as needed to provide instruction and supervision to staff so that they may provide appropriate care to individuals.
Perform any of the residential nursing duties as requested by Program Director or designee.
Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws.

Qualifications:
Registered Professional Nurse with current New York State license. Minimum three (3) years experience with geriatric or intellectually disabled individuals.
