Training Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company. Collaborates with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of established programs. Being a Training Director develops a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed and in locations that work for the participants. Provides engaging communications about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training. Additionally, Training Director approves new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs. Oversees and establishes relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs. Manages and develops training professionals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Training Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Training Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Responsibilities:
    Throughout the program, you will be responsible to provide leadership, direction and administration of assigned tasks with the main objective of maintaining quality care for the residents and supervision of your clinical team. You will train and learn how to be responsible for daily operation, policy and procedure, and regulatory compliance. This position will also work on special improvement projects to provide feedback in order to improve clinical practices while ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

    Upon completion of the DONIT program, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for the overall management of a clinical department within an assigned facility. You will lead our clinical team of nurse managers, floor nurses, and certified nursing assistants to provide premium nursing care to our residents. You will act as an advocate of the resident, communicate regularly with families, and guide and develop your clinical team.


    Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, and a superior level of knowledge in nursing management in order to manage resident care, and manage large and diverse groups of nursing personnel.
    • Current license to practice as an RN in Michigan; current CPR certification
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in a long term care facility including 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
    • Clinical knowledge of long term care nursing, with ability to anticipate, recognize, and respond to resident needs in a long term care and rehabilitation environment.
    • Minimal gaps in work history with a career path that steadily resulted in consecutive positions with increased job responsibilities.
    • Possess a superior work ethic and be willing to go above and beyond. Be eager to learn and adapt well to changes.
    • Must have outstanding people skills and be able to engage, and connect to all personality and skill levels with guests, families, employees and leadership. Must possess and demonstrate personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
    • Utilize strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, and financial analysis. Be poised to constructively problem solve. Must be able to handle conflict, problems and emergency situations.
    • Ability to work flexible hours based on facility requirements. Will be required to be on call as needed.
