Training Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company. Collaborates with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of established programs. Being a Training Director develops a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed and in locations that work for the participants. Provides engaging communications about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training. Additionally, Training Director approves new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs. Oversees and establishes relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs. Manages and develops training professionals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Training Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Training Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Primary Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Executive Director, The Director of Training and Development is responsible for training and development throughout the community to increase staff retention per company expectations. The Director of Training and Development is responsible for creating and disseminating training programs that develop self-sufficient, compassionate team members who are dedicated to their colleagues, residents and responsibilities. He/She collects and analyzes data from community employees to proactively address instructional issues and respond with comprehensive and compliant education. Not only does this individual require a keen understanding of state-specific rules and regulations, but also a deep commitment to the Company's mission and vision. The DTD manages multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that team members throughout the community are onboarded in a timely and hospitable manner, and that ongoing training is relevant and engaging. This team member will be involved in employee training and development from day one throughout their employment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, orienting, hands-on training, documentation, staff management, support, development and quality assurance and regulatory compliance. The Director of Training and Development ensures that policies and procedures established by Blake Management are implemented and maintained.
