Training Manager designs, plans, and implements training programs, policies, and procedures. Collaborates with functional teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs and the effectiveness of established programs. Being a Training Manager researches new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs to meet the organization's changing needs. Engages with vendors providing supplemental training programs or training content. Additionally, Training Manager ensures that training resources and delivery methods are kept up to date and are effective. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Retail Store Manager in Training is LL Flooring’s dynamic internal development program to prepare our candidates for a Store Manager position.
Regular travel and the ability to relocate is required.
The Retail Store Manager In Training is trained on all (Four Wall) responsibilities including but not limited to : the day-to-day and long-term operations of managing a store, the financial requirements of a retail flooring business, and the emphasis on delivering consistent, positive results.
The Retail Store Manager In Training will partner with the Regional Manager and their assigned Store Manager for training in leading and directing a team of store associates.
The Retail Store Manager In Training will be coached and mentored to provide supervision in all areas of the store including sales, the customer guided experience, delivering company initiatives, resource management, inventory quality controls, store financials, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
