Job Summary :
The Training Specialist will develop various learning projects and initiatives driving skill and knowledge development to deliver business results.
The Training Specialist will be responsible for the overall management of all Technical Maintenance competency building, education and training, leadership initiatives and activities involving the Redstone Installation Support Services (ISS) personnel
Job Responsibilities :
Develop standardized site- specific orientation, onboarding welcome and position-specific training plans for Redstone ISS team members.
Record employee training activities.
Monitor workforce training requirements to the individual employee level.
Provide reminders to the employee, their supervisor and the Project Management team for training that is nearing the assigned completion date.
Work with subject matter experts to develop training courses to meet the project requirements including but not limited to safety, quality, timekeeping, technical maintenance and procedures.
Assist with developing standard operating procedures, business plans, performance measures, training policy directives, instructions, and guides.
Conduct gap analysis to identify additional training requirements for current employees.
Coordinate with outside vendors and agencies to provide training when required.
Create, design, and develop training materials in classroom / online / virtual and self-study formats.
Complete post-course evaluations, progress reports, and completion metrics reports.
Develop metrics and performance management plans to implement alignment of training with strategic plans.
Evaluate training and provide advice on scheduling, delivery, and proceeding in agreement with approval plans and specifications, and training implemented efficiently and effectively.
Identify possible vendors and work with them on identifying potential fit for use of products / services based on the training requirements.
Manage calendar invites for training events.
Oversee the contract implementation of our companies’ mandatory regulatory compliance training to include topics such as Timekeeping, Code of Conduct (FAR), Active-Shooter Preparedness, etc.
Possess practical knowledge of education and training
Work with our internal customers on the identification of training requirements and provide recommendations for addressing their requests.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Adapt quickly to changing needs and priorities.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Attention to detail for ensuring accuracy of the information being captured.
High levels of proficiency in written and oral communication including ability to explain complex programs to all unfamiliar employees, including managers.
Strong customer service skills for working with employees at all levels within the organization.
High school diploma and 3-5 years of training / instructional experience; OR
Desired Qualifications :
Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory, principles, and methods.
Experience with instructional technologies.
