As the Training & Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and developing our workforce that will promote a positive organizational culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess training needs, develop solutions, and scale effective programs.
• Lead routine operations and long-range planning related to system wide training.
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse audiences.
• Design and execute system wide annual training efforts
• Act as the organization's Ethics Training Liaison
• Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in assessing, developing, and delivering employee development training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification in ASTD and/or PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in public libraries is highly desirable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Good knowledge of current technology.
• Significant knowledge of Human Resources training and development, adult instructional and learning theory, instructional design, curriculum development, training methodologies, and competency assessment.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to groups and individuals.
• Comfortable presenting to both large and small groups.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, squat, kneel, and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds. Employee must frequently push and/or pull loaded book carts weighing up to 75 pounds.
