Do you want to help change young adults' lives? TRA is hiring in their Worcester office for an Employment Specialist/Job Developer. This position is responsible for:

- providing personal, academic and vocational counseling to clients;

- providing self-esteem/life skills/job readiness training to enable students to increase their self-confidence, self-sufficiency and ability to obtain/retain employment;

- Leadership development training to help students develop leadership skills and knowledge of the community;

- assisting with job development activities to help students find employment;

- developing/ maintaining job bank information, job development, job matching, marketing, & placement,

- maintaining client files, monitoring and follow-up services for clients to enable them to find and retain employment;

- developing/ nurturing strong rapport with area employers in order to generate worksites for participants;

- organizing/coordinating activities to help recruit new clients across all our programs;

- Delivery of job readiness curriculum to all site participants.

BA/BS degree and related human service/counseling experience required. This job also requires experience in Recruiting and/or job development, strong human relations/communications skills, and the ability to motivate/relate to a diverse, multi-cultural teen population with varying needs/issues. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, and the position requires flexibility, initiative, creativity, and strong organizational skills. It requires that the incumbent have his/her own vehicle for outreach/recruitment/counseling purposes.
