Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Hospital Laboratory Director will oversee all Laboratory activities while ensuring all compliance measures are met. The Hospital Laboratory Director will be responsible for coordinating all services for both the Clinical Laboratory as well as Pathology Services. The Hospital Laboratory Director will be responsible for all laboratory staff with the support of managers and supervisors and will have oversight of a team of Pathologists.
The Hospital Laboratory Director will oversee all the hiring of Lab personnel including interviewing, promotion, scheduling, and mentoring. In addition, the Hospital Laboratory Director will be responsible for department financials including budgets, inventory, negotiations, and purchasing. The Hospital Laboratory Director will work with the Medical Director to develop and carry out department plans that align with the overall hospital strategic plan.
