Summary:
The Assistant Director, Clinical Education Services is the co-leader of the Clinical Education team responsible for clinical education in collaboration with the Director, Clinical Education Services. The Assistant Director position is responsible for organizing, implementing and evaluating educational programming (both formal and informal) to meet the learning needs of Catholic Health (CH) associates working across the continuum of care. The Assistant Director will be a clinical resource person relative to theory and practice of patient care management and provide education when needed. The Assistant Director will coordinate with the diabetes education programs and provide follow-up on established metrics.

EDUCATION

Current New York State RN License

MSN, MS in Education or related field required

BLS and ACLS certification

Specialty certification preferred
EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in educational program management performing needs analysis, implementing training interventions, and measuring results; experience working with adult learners
- Minimum three (3) years of experience delivering training; demonstrated knowledge of multiple delivery modalities: web-based, classroom, self-paced eLearning

Experience with all types of clinical training, including non-nursing roles

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in conducting clinical education needs assessments, methodologies and outcomes measurements

Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

Experience with JCAHO requirements

Solid PC skills utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel software applications

Ability to travel between the various CHS sites; occasional weekend and evening work schedules required

Carry equipment/supplies from one facility to another
