Overview:
The Building Director is responsible for the daily operations within the assigned building, including the coordination of educational and treatment activities for clients and the leadership of employees. This position reports to Education Alternatives’ Executive Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of building employees, including intervention specialists, treatment facilitators, one-on-one aides, and mental health counselors
• Ensure the overall quality of the treatment activities performed by building staff
• Ensure educational and treatment documentation are completed and maintained
• Coordinate crisis management with client and treatment team
• Conduct intake, transition, and discharge meetings
• Review employee performance on a regular basis
• Serve as a liaison between clients, treatment and IEP teams, and the community
• Maintain Education Alternatives’ compliance with state and federal laws and agency policies and procedures outlined by the accrediting agency
• Maintain understanding of current developments in the fields of education and mental health
• Communicate with home school districts and parents/guardians

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree and professional license in Education, Counseling, or Social Work is helpful but not required
• Previous experience with mental health counseling is helpful but not required
• Previous experience with supervisory responsibilities and leadership

Job Schedule

• The job follows a standard school schedule for a total of 197 work days in a year
• The hours follow a standard work day with additional crisis management needed on occasion in the evening

Working Conditions

• Ability to perform physical restraints according to Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
• Work is performed primarily in the school environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
