    SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for overseeing and supervising the work of the 21st Century Learning program, the Attendance Support, WIOA Dropout Youth, and McKinney-Vento Homeless Education program, and the Community Partnership program.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    School and Family Engagement

    1. Possess a thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements regarding school attendance and case management.

    2. Possess and stay current with knowledge of the district policies, procedures, and standards regarding education and attendance.

    3. Possess and stay current with knowledge of the ethical guidelines applicable to the position as outlined by professional organizations and/or federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.

    4. Possess and stay current with knowledge of the current literature, trends, and developments in school attendance and social-emotional learning.

    5. Possess and stay current with knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization, and administration.

    6. Interpret educational policies and procedures. Enforce state and federal guidelines.

    7. Use common office machines and popular computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet, and file maintenance programs.

    8. Effectively express ideas orally and in writing.

    9. Counsel and develop staff.

    10. Assist with hiring, oversight, evaluation of staff, recruitment, and enrollment of participants.

    11. Evaluate and support department staff.

    12. Ensure the timely submission and approval of all employee leave requests for program staff. Ensure the timely submission and approval of time cards.

    13. Sign off on program purchase orders for program staff in a timely manner.

    14. Communicate with program staff through monthly individual supervision, monthly program meetings, and quarterly department meetings.

    15. Maintain complete and accurate records and statistics and develop meaningful reports from them.

    16. Assess the effectiveness of programs and activities aligned to program goals and outcomes.

    17. Develop and oversee the programs as determined by grant goals and outcomes.

    18. Develop long-range plans and annual budgets aligned to program goals and outcomes.

    19. Create procedures for and compile data for evaluation of the program, all paperwork, reporting, and budgeting.

    20. Write grants for program funding and enhancements.

    21. Ensure all reporting deadlines are met.

    22. Coordinate and oversee Grants & budgets including but not limited to WIOA, Homeless, TAOEP, 21st CCLC, and Community Partnership.

    23. Coordinate and oversee Reporting and data, including but not limited to Quarterly and End of Year Reports, GATA, TAEOP, etc.

    24. Ensure timely submission of grants and complete grant amendments to ensure proper budgeting and allocation and expenditure of funds.

    25. Establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.

    26. Collaborate with school personnel.

    27. Develop and implement training and programming regarding school attendance for local school districts.

    28. Work with various community groups involved with the implementation of the program.

    29. Complete monthly budget reconciliation and meet with the Regional Superintendent to discuss expenditures.

    30. Work with the region’s schools to process referrals and develop student education plans/IOEP.

    Regional Office of Education

    31. Maintain updated Google Calendar.

    32. Complete all required employee documents in an accurate & timely manner per ROE, State, and other grant requirements.

    33. Practice high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality.

    34. Engage in Professional Development per ROE/position requirements.

    35. Follow and enforce all State, Federal, and ROE guidelines and policies in a professional manner.

    36. Maintain turnover files (ROE#33 Purple Binder).

    37. Attend all ROE and program meetings as required by supervisor.

    38. Join and participate in a ROE Committee, including attendance and engagement at meetings.

    39. Shows up, is prepared, and follows through on commitments with thorough, timely, and consistent work (Dependability).

    41. Follows the attendance policy in the ROE handbook (Attendance).

    48. Ensure consistent and clear communication with supervisor, colleagues, students/families, and stakeholders (Communication Skills).

    49. Follow ROE Dress Code consistently (Appearance & Grooming).

    50. Perform other duties as assigned by Regional Superintendent of Schools or Assistant Regional Superintendent of Schools.

    QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & CRITICAL SKILLS

    1. Bachelor's Degree preferred

    2. Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.

    3. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

    4. Ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs.

    5. Ability to communicate to students, volunteers, and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.

    6. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to work with teachers, education support personnel, building administrators, and the general public.

    7. Enforce ROE regulations and policies in a professional manner.

    8. Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.

    SCHEDULING

    The work hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30 based on ROE Calendar and Regional Office of Education #33 office hours, 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week. This is a full-time position with the Regional Office of Education #33.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $44,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
