Training and Clinical Education Director provides supervision and direction of training and clinical education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of clinical staff. Being a Training and Clinical Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Training and Clinical Education Director typically requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Training and Clinical Education Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Training and Clinical Education Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. This hospital specifically has 240 patient beds, as well as a highly recognized Level III Trauma Center providing healthcare for the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. 

    The Director of Oncology will carry much responsibility in the Cancer Treatment Center including but not limited to:

    • Overseeing staff members while counseling and disciplining within the Cancer Center
    • Establish and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
    • Maintain fiscal responsibilities including capital, non-labor / labor expenses, etc.
    • Have a working relationship with the on-site Oncologist while engaging in strategic planning

    There are a few hard requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. One must have at least 5 years of experience in a radiation management / supervisor position as well as be registered through the AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) as a certified Radiation Therapist. This facility is also requiring a Bachelors degree for the Oncology Director.
