General Duties:

• Maintain calendar and schedule appointments
• Send/receive incoming/outgoing mail
• Follow-up on dates for action items
• Type business letters, reports, etc.
• Compose and prepare routine correspondences for signature
• Maintain confidential files and records
• Attend departmental meetings, take notes/meeting minutes
• Order and maintain office supplies and equipment
• Orient new personnel to Job Corps and to the center's policies and procedures
• Answer telephones and direct calls to the appropriate people

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to generate standard business letters, forms, contracts, proposals, and presentations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
• Meticulous documentation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to Multi-Task
• Proficient in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 
• Ability to operate office equipment, and to show others how to use it as well

Educational Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Prefer 2-3 years of experience. Compensation is based on experience 
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
