Job Title: National Assistant Director of Training - Trainer Recruitment
Reporting to: National Director of Training
Hours of Work: 38 hours p/w Mon-Fri (ad-hoc Saturday may be required)
Location: Sydney
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the National Director of Training, the National Assistant Director of Training - Trainer Recruitment will support growth of the national department through leading all trainer recruitment initiatives including hiring, onboarding, advertising, and management of new roles as well as ensuring a complaint system of trainer file management in line with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations or its successor (SRTOs 2015).
In addition, the position works with the National Director, ELICOS & Higher Pathways, National Academic Director ELICOS and University Pathways, and the National UPATH Coordinators to ensure all Greystone College qualifications have current and meaningful articulations and advanced standing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Leading the recruitment process for new training staff including strategically advertising roles, interviewing, reference checking, determination of suitable remuneration levels, verifying qualifications and gathering evidence of industry skill and currency
- Establishment and ongoing maintenance of quality trainer file management according to the SRTOs 2015 and subsequent updates from ASQA
- Gathering of Professional Development logs and evidence to maintain currency for all national training staff
- Identifying professional development gaps and opportunities for training cohorts
- Onboarding and offboarding training staff including the establishment of financial and network accounts and trainer mapping profiles and trainer inductions
- Managing the trainer step level averages across our national delivery
- Delivering and coordinating national sessional class schedules in collaboration with our national management team
- Running and supporting On Campus Assessment Support sessions
- Supporting our national UPATH coordinators (University Pathway) in managing articulation agreements with third party providers
- Working with and counselling UPATH students to achieve their pathway goals
- Collaborating with our national UPATH coordinators to promote Greystone College at partner fairs and events
- Daily communication and collaboration with the academic management team on all aspects of the management of our faculty and student experience
- Working with the academic management team to execute core functions such as national delivery alignment initiatives, student completions and student support as required
- Assisting the department with networking events, marketing events and student experiences
- Reviewing systems, policies, and practices to ensure continuous improvement across all areas of delivery, management, and administration to ensure best practice
- Preparing and submitting reports as required by the National Director of Training
- Communication with the global ILSC Education Group community regarding Greystone concerns, considerations, updates, and announcements
- Participating and contributing to development of National VET programs through attendance at National VET meetings, and global continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with the National Director of Training and academic management team to identify, develop and implement key organisational culture, engagement and change initiatives and strategies
- Working collaboratively and cohesively with National VET Administration, Student Advisors, National Quality Assurance, National Registration, Global Curriculum, Global Sales, Global HR, and Global Executive teams
- Contribute to Work Health and Safety identification and participation in committees ensuring a safe and supported work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Post graduate qualification in Business, Education or Management
- Qualifications in HR or 3 years’ experience in the management and hiring of staff
- Current Working with Children authority

- Ensure compliance in an internal or external audit in relation to all trainer files
- Ensure our national schedules are coordinated and completed on time
- Create a collaborative working relationship between national UPATH coordinators and Greystone Colleges academic management team ensuring UPATH goals are supported and met
- Negotiate strong articulation agreements on behalf of Greystone College with our third party UPATH partners

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of our regulatory framework including ASQA, the SRTOs, ESOS Act & National Code and other legislative instruments
- Knowledge of fairwork.gov.au awards, National Employment Standards and all commonwealth legislation relevant to working in an RTO environment
- Proven capacity to operate both strategically and operationally
- Exceptional project management, organisational and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- A strong focus on results and commitment to quality, compliance, and reporting requirements
- High level communication skills including the ability to prepare quality written reports, policies, action plans, correspondence and other documentation as required
