Translator translates written and spoken information from one language to another. Reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Being a Translator must be well versed in vocabulary dealing with specialty. Must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information. Additionally, Translator may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Translator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Modican Medical & Safety now have open registration for for Bilingual Translators for Travel Disaster Relief.
(TRAVEL POSITION)
When registered, you will be among the first persons contacted with information on upcoming disaster assignments. You will work closely with our team to ensure that everything is up to date, so that there will be no delays in the start of a new assignment. You will have the flexibility to select which assignments you would like to be a part of. With assignment opportunities to travel throughout the State of Florida assisting in translation for disaster relief. This allows for the perfect opportunity to be a helping hand for our bilingual communities, earning some extra cash.
To qualify for registration, you must meet the requirements below:
- Must have a valid Florida State I.D.
- Must be able to pass E-Verify, level 2 background check and drug test.
- Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time, outdoor or indoors.
- Must be bilingual, can speak ENGLISH, and TRANSLATE in second language.
- Examples: Spanish, Creole, Portuguese, or any other language.
- Submit 3 professional references
