Reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Being a Translator must be well versed in vocabulary dealing with specialty. Must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information. Additionally, Translator may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Translator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     RESULTS STATEMENT

    The Translator will act as a liaison primarily between non-English speaking applicants and Human Resources to ensure BSS is professionally, efficiently and accurately responding to employment requests and onboarding new hires with confidentiality.

    TACTICAL WORK


    • Serves as the first contact when an employee has a question regarding employment at Bozeman Site Services, typically via email or phone


    • Assists interested parties in completing application

    • Arranges in-person interviews, as needed, between applicant and Director of Operations

    • Becomes very familiar with Bozeman Site Services Employee Handbook to ensure HR policies, processes or benefits are accurately portrayed, and filters questions up to the HR Director as needed.

    • Performs all new hire onboarding in person until adequate representation is established

    • Assists Office Manager in setting up new hires in all electronic systems

      • Translates existing onboarding video including, sexual harassment, general safety, etc.

      • Answers questions that the new hire may have

    • Translates SOPs, critical internal correspondence, and other written materials as needed

    • Assists with assorted employee engagement activities throughout the year including annual insurance and benefits meetings, annual parties, etc.

    • Occasionally translates meetings between BSS management and employees as needed.

    • Creates correspondences when needed.

    • Provides content for social media accounts including Facebook and Instagram in support of our recruiting efforts.

    • Performs all the above with careful attention to providing proper context, meaning, tone and technical wording and identifying terms and words with conflicting meanings to determine which alternative provides clarity and reflects the original purpose of the message

    • Performs all other duties as assigned


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


    • Native speaker fluency in Target Language


    • High proficiency in written and spoken English

    • Previous interpretation experience

    • Highly professional standards regarding integrity and confidentiality

    • Reliable computer

    • Must have a dedicated high-speed, private, and secured internet connection

    • Age 16 or older

    • Flexible schedule

    • Reliable transportation to work to help maintain a pristine attendance record
