Job Overview:
CLI Solutions is seeking two highly proficient Japanese interpreters to join our team in Japan. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services between English and Japanese for various clients and projects.

Contract is to be performed outside of the United States. All work will be performed in Japan. Exact location pending.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, presentations, and other events.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in conveying the intended message between English and Japanese.
• Research and prepare relevant materials to familiarize yourself with the subject matter prior to interpretation assignments.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth communication flow.

Requirements:

• Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal) is essential.
• Proven experience in providing consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong research and preparation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to different subject matters and environments.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
• Availability to work on a contract basis in Japan.
• Experience with interpretation equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as an interpreter in a professional setting.
• Certification or training in interpretation.
• Familiarity with various industries such as business, technology, government, military.
• Government/Military expertise preferred.
