May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Transmitter Engineer has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Transmitter Engineer works under immediate supervision. Performs hydraulic, hydrologic and engineering analyses, field inspections, planning, and design work under supervision or general direction towards the completion of Water Resources projects. Works under direct supervision and mentorship from four senior engineers in the Oakland office. This position requires a strong passion for hydrology and hydraulics, an interest in performing field inspections, and proficiency in GIS and CAD software. Key responsibilities may include conducting studies, modeling, and designing drainage infrastructure, or floodplain mapping.
