Transmitter Engineer installs, develops and operates all aspects of electronic equipment used to transmit radio and television programs. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Transmitter Engineer has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Transmitter Engineer works under immediate supervision. In this role, you will be working as a Designer Engineer for a client in the electronic manufacturing Industry. This position will be responsible for designing and developing RF coaxial connectors, cable assemblies and related components.
This position is a contract to possible hire role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked on-site.
- Design and develop RF coaxial connectors and related components
- Utilize 2D / 3D CAD design tools to create drawings for components and assemblies.
- Provide technical support to customers, sales representatives and manufacturing departments
- Interface with customers on design and applications issues.
- Travel as needed to support customer requirements.
- Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Engineering Release Orders (ERO).
- Ability to perform detailed analysis to validate functionality of design, including tolerance studies
