Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nurse Staffing Coordinator is involved in recruitment and retention of qualified nursing personnel to fulfill the objectives and standards of nursing care established by Rapides Regional Medical Center. The Nurse Staffing Coordinator serves as the liaison with the nursing schools and is responsible for facilitating clinical experiences for nursing students at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

What you will do in this role:

• Develop relationships with Nursing Schools
• Attend Nursing Student events as an ambassador
• Facilitate Lunch and Learns with designated schools
• Track nursing student progress and post-graduation plans
• Maximize conversion of externs and clinical students to Residents
• Assist clinical rotation groups with data for access

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years work experience
• Knowledge and skills related to interviewing techniques
• Ability to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate all phases of recruitment and retention
• Exhibit leadership attributes as well as a commitment to the values of Rapides Regional Medical Center
• Marketing, personnel, and/or health administration background helpful
