Transplant Nurse Coordinator jobs in Long Beach, CA

Transplant Nurse Coordinator provides planning and coordination of all facets of clinical care for potential and actual transplant candidates and recipients. Manages referral, evaluation, and pre-transplant data for transplant patients and coordinates the clinical management of post-transplant patients. Being a Transplant Nurse Coordinator develops materials and delivers programs to educate and support patients, families, and clinicians throughout the transplant process. Requires clinical experience in the care and treatment of transplant patients. Additionally, Transplant Nurse Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree of Nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires registered nurse (RN). May require certification from a professional organ transplant nursing certification board. The Transplant Nurse Coordinator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse? We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for our Surgical Stepdown unit, specifically trained to care for patients who have undergone lung, liver, kidney transplants, or other surgeries. As a member of our team, you will:

    Provide direct and indirect patient care services, ensuring the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely manner.

    Educate patients on disease prevention and restorative measures.

    Administer medications and therapeutic agents necessary for treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitation.

    Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiate peripheral venous access.

    Observe and assess signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, and general physical condition to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.

    Implement individualized patient care plans based on observations and provide care to diverse patient populations.

    Identify patients' readiness for learning and ability to follow instructions while considering their unique needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, gender, sexual orientation, and more.

    Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice
