POSITION DESCRIPTION

Under the immediate direction of the Sales Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the sales organization at Interstate by keeping track of inventory, picking orders for customers, making deliveries, and other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist sales team with entering, preparing, and pulling of orders for customer pick up.
• Responsible for communicating with all divisions and collecting of items in a timely manner.
• Assist all divisions with loading/unloading will-call customers and fleet vehicle when necessary.
• Upon receiving sales orders, stage product in loading zone to allow for easy pick up and/or sales team to easily access for delivery.
• Unload, receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods with that of the purchase orders. Record shortages and/or damages. All items must be counted and placed into inventory and in a designated location. Notify the department immediately when the product arrives informing them of any shortages or damaged goods.
• Make product deliveries as required. Arrange pick up from UPS or from common carriers & LTL company.
• Communicate with Sales Manager regarding inventory levels.
• Report missing product immediately and contact supplier.
• Maintain safety standards within the warehouse.
• Operate forklift and organize products in the shop and yard.
• Assist in the fabrication of street and traffic signs when necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma preferred.
• Forklift Certified
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Detail Oriented
• Highly Organized
• Trustworthy
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Knowledge of rentals/sales/contracting preferred
