Transplant Nurse Coordinator jobs in Spokane, WA
Transplant Nurse Coordinator provides planning and coordination of all facets of clinical care for potential and actual transplant candidates and recipients. Manages referral, evaluation, and pre-transplant data for transplant patients and coordinates the clinical management of post-transplant patients. Being a Transplant Nurse Coordinator develops materials and delivers programs to educate and support patients, families, and clinicians throughout the transplant process. Requires clinical experience in the care and treatment of transplant patients. Additionally, Transplant Nurse Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree of Nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires registered nurse (RN). May require certification from a professional organ transplant nursing certification board. The Transplant Nurse Coordinator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. SUMMARY
A Level II Trauma Center and Magnet hospital in Spokane, WA is searching for a permanent Registered Nurse for their Cardiac Care Transplant unit. This is a fast-paced unit made up of caring individuals who put the patient’s safety and concerns before themselves. This is very much a team-like atmosphere and it’s an excellent opporntity to provide quality care to patients in an environment that fosters transparency, respect and partnership!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients
- Administer medication as instructed by physicians
- Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes
- Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year of acute care experience
- Nursing degree/diploma required. Must be willing to obtain a BSN within 3years of hire
- A RN with 20 years of RN experience will be exempt from the BSN requirement
- Current Washington Registered Nurse (RN) license (or ability to obtain)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire.
