Job Description:
The Renal Transplant Coordinator serves as a clinician and clinical administrator for organ transplant program and potential and actual recipients of transplants. Coordinates the pre-transplant evaluation, assists with care management in the inpatient and outpatient setting, and responds to patient, dialysis unit and referring physician inquiries. Promotes Patient Safety by adhering to institutional and departmental policies and by practicing high standards of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, active RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
Recent clinical experience in specialty field preferred
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Exhibits accuracy, integrity and flexibility; is punctual and dependable.
Possesses organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrates ability to work with self-direction and effectiveness under minimal supervision.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills; possesses group facilitation skills.
Current BLS required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent clinical experience in renal transplant.
BSN preferred.
