Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Food Service Director to lead our dining services department. The Food Service Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, service, and quality control within the facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences to our residents.

Food Service Director Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs and dietary preferences of residents, taking into account any special dietary requirements or restrictions
• Ensure that all food preparation and service practices comply with state and federal regulations, as well as industry standards for food safety and sanitation
• Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, dietary aides, and servers, and provide training and guidance as needed to maintain high standards of performance
• Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to meet menu requirements and minimize waste
• Collaborate with the facility's healthcare team to coordinate meal plans and accommodate residents' individual dietary needs and preferences
• Oversee dining room operations to ensure efficient service and a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests
• Maintain accurate records of food costs, inventory levels, and meal counts, and prepare reports as needed for management review

Food Service Director Qualifications:

• Experience in food service management, preferably in a longterm care setting
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training required
