Transportation Director directs, develops, and implements overall operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Develops and directs operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Director monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to forecast and meet capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Director oversees the acquisition and oversight of transportation providers. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Transportation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Class A drivers run regionally, getting home every week dry van 95% no touch & 85% Drop n Hook Freight. Areas running WA, OR, ID, WY, MT, NV and Northern CA
Drivers' pay is based on experience and fleet average is $67-$73K/Yr with a guaranteed minimum of $1060. Drivers are paid a $500 bonus after they drop their second load.

6 months regional or OTR in the last 7 months OR
9 months regional or OTR in the last 12 months OR
12 months regional or OTR in the last 3 years
No serious moving violations in the last 3 years such as following too closely, reckless careless, etc
May not have more than two moving violations of any kind in the last 12 months
No DOT Recordable Preventable in the last 3 years
No DUI in PMV in the last five years and none ever in a CMV – will NOT accept SAP
