Transportation Director directs, develops, and implements overall operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Develops and directs operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Director monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to forecast and meet capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Director oversees the acquisition and oversight of transportation providers. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Transportation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Transportation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Student Transportation Driver

  • Patterns is Hiring a Transportation Driver for students in our Swanzey, NH region!

    Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7am-9am, 11am-1pm, and 4pm-5:30pm with breaks in between (around 25-30 hours of work per week)

    The Transportation Driver will be a part of a team responsible for transporting students from their homes to Patterns Behavioral Services - NH, to receive medically necessary treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder. This Position will drive a 8-passenger van throughout the greater Swanzey, NH Area. Primary duties include picking up students from their homes and transporting them to and from the Patterns clinic.

    Essential Functions:

    • Transport students to and from their homes to the Patterns clinics as well as other designated and approved locations.
    • Ensure the safety and security of the clients during transportation
    • Maintain a clean and safe van by performing a pre and post trip inspection
    • Sanitize/clean the van in between trips using approved CDC and Patterns cleaning protocols.
    • Fill up and service van as needed using the provided gas card. Report any service issues or vehicle maintenance issues
    • Obey all local and state traffic laws

    Education, Work Experience, and Skills:

    • High school diploma or equivalent Required
    • Valid NH driver’s license Required
    • Must clear roster and hold current school bus certificate
    • Must be comfortable driving a 8-passenger van with driving experience preferred
    • Ability to pass an NH background check
    • Ability to pass a drug screening Test
    • Clean New Hampshire driving records
    • Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
