PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Supervise the maintenance and repair of a ?eet of school buses. Supervise mechanics and ensure they are trained on current operating procedures, and that they are properly equipped and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-e?ective manner. Ensure a safe environment exists and all maintenance activities are in compliance with State, Federal, and District requirements. Oversee the purchase, stock, and inventory of parts for repairing vehicles. Investigate all vehicle accidents involving transportation department vehicles.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the work of mechanics, utility workers, shop personnel, and bus maintenance workers.
