Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. Dewberry's Bloomfield, NJ office is seeking a ITS Discipline Manager, responsible for knowing how to do the work committed to in proposals and leading the appropriate resources to do the work for ITS system engineering and system integration projects. The position will also assist Project/Client Managers by providing engineering resources to help meet the client's desires and budget. In-depth knowledge of the NY/NJ ITS market is required.
