Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Transportation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We are seeking a full-time Transportation Sale Account Manager in Harlingen, TX. The salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000 per year plus bonuses.
Sales Account Executive Job Responsibilities:
- Focus on profitable business development
- Maintaining positive client relationships
- 5 day work week, 7:30am-6pm, mostly out in the field, no office
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of successful Transportation Sales Experience
- 2 years of Transportation Operations experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Knowledge of AS400/IBM power system
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Works with a sense of urgency
