Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Transportation Driver
Community PACE at Home is looking for a dependable, empathetic, experienced driver to transport our elderly participants. We're all about the Community and the participants we serve. This position is available full-time. Our drivers are responsible for ensuring that patients are transported safely, have all items that are necessary for the day (Medications, paperwork, etc.) and have fun while being transported. Drivers transport our participants from their homes to the center and to specialty appointments when needed. At the end of each day, we return participants back to their residence safely.
Drivers will also often participate in team meetings, providing valuable information to the PACE center manager, and primary care staff about how the patient transfers and the home environment.
Qualifications and Skills
· NO CDL required!
· Experience driving larger vehicles is preferred.
· Must obtain a Chauffeurs license upon hire. PACE will help with this!
· Have a current clean drivers record.
· Experience working with the frail elderly population – preferred
· Must pass a background check.
Schedule: M-F First Shift / hours vary with occasional evening and weekend shifts available
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
