Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of your job position is to coordinate the Campus transportation services. To include medical and outpatient transport, family Subacute transport and daily activity transportation.
Delegation of Authority
As the transportation coordinator, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Working Conditions
Educational Requirements
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must possess a current, unencumbered CDL license with passenger certification.
Experience
Experience with geriatric population and handicap equipment helpful. No experience necessary, will receive on-the-job training.
