About The Role

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the shop.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to shop employees.
• Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Train and mentor shop employees on proper techniques and procedures
• Skilled Technical Expertise: Utilize knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
• Safety Standards: Prioritize safety protocols and guidelines 
• Manage work schedules effectively to meet repair deadlines, ensuring the timely return of trucks to operational status.
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and updates in truck mechanics to enhance skills and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Be prepared to respond promptly to high-priority breakdowns, demonstrating a sense of urgency and problem-solving skills to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and find repair facilities for on the road drivers.
• Collaborate with Dispatch team on emergency repairs.

Ideal Candidate 

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a team of mechanics and prioritize tasks.
• Experience with troubleshooting road repairs and finding repair facilities.
• Proven Experience: The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in truck mechanics with a demonstrated track record of successful repairs and maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, enabling the candidate to diagnose and address complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in both diagnostic procedures and repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
• Adaptability: Showcase adaptability and flexibility in handling diverse truck models, emerging technologies, and changing industry standards, highlighting a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
