The Transportation Manager is responsible for management of Henkel’s carrier network ensuring and on-time delivery of customer products for Henkel's consumer goods businesses. It is essential that the Transportation manager have excellent people management skills to coach, manage and develop direct reports. This role will have budget management and P&L responsibility for respective carrier portfolio.
The position will report to the Director of Transportation and collaborate with key internal and external business functions and stakeholders to effectively manage, identify and meet business requirements at a tactical/strategic level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Day to Day
•Manage all aspects of domestic transportation management
Systems, Carrier Management, Stakeholder engagement
People Management
•Interface with business partners to proactively ensure operational and tactical bottlenecks are mitigated.
Supplier Relationship Management
•Manage scorecard meetings with carriers and communicate performance
•Hold carriers accountable through action planning process ensure that pick-up and delivery metrics are meeting standards
•Partner with procurement to drive sourcing changes for poor business performance
Continuous Improvement
•Drive change and enhancements through Transportation systems
•Manage or change standard operating procedures where appropriate
•Collaborate with Customer Operations, Planning, Procurement and Warehouse teams to optimal cost and service performance
•RFP business lead for TL and IMDL Carriers
Team Management:
•Ensure that team is adhering to policies and procedures
•Performance management
• BS or MBA in Supply Chain Management
• 5-10 Years of Transportation or Supply Chain experience
• Experience with the following tools (excel, access, Power BI, OTM, SAP, Powerpoint)
• Supplier Relationship Management
• People Management/Talent Catalyst
• System Management and Data Analytics (TMS, WMS, SAP, OTM)
• Strong communication skills
• Strong influencer
• Continuous Improvement/Change Management mindset
The salary for this role is $94,500.00 - $141,400.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
