Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Transportation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description - Program Manager, Transportation Electrification

    What you will do

    • Assists with developing and managing Transportation Electrification Programs for TEP, and UNS Electric to ensure goals and milestones are met.
    • Oversee administrative aspects of assigned programs including program design, data analysis, customer enrollments, budget, and timely and accurate incentive payments and reporting.
    • Leads collaboration with the Account Managers, as well as other internal departments including, but not limited to Engineering and Energy Programs
    • Prepares analytical reports to measure the success of assigned Program and makes program adjustments as necessary.

    Position Description

    Program Manager (Transportation Electrification Programs) is responsible for managing assigned transportation electrification (TE) program(s) and overseeing the design, operations, administration, budget, marketing, performance analysis, data analytics, reporting, process improvement, and customer and stakeholder engagement. The Program Manager is responsible for overall implementation and performance of assigned programs supporting the Company strategic direction and managing program goals. The Program Manager may direct the program's processes, functions, and contractor responsible for the implementation of the program.

    Position-Related Responsibilities

    • Assists with the planning, development, prioritization, and management of assigned TE Programs for TEP, and UNS Electric to ensure goals and milestones are met.
    • Oversee administrative aspects of assigned programs including program design, data analysis, customer enrollments, budget, and timely and accurate incentive payments and reporting.
    • Assist in the development of a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among customers and build, maintain and create new relationships to ensure exceptional customer experience and optimal program performance.
    • Oversee the growth of the program through such activities as the development of innovative program design solutions.
    • Lead collaboration with the Account Mangers, as well as other internal departments including, but not limited to Engineering and Energy Programs.
    • Support the development of and manage software used to administer and operate the programs and oversee data management and quality control.
    • Promotes assigned TE Programs to existing customers, developers, and key industry partners.
    • Prepares analytical reports to measure the success of assigned Program and makes program adjustments as necessary.
    • Assists with response to questions from regulatory agencies such as the Arizona Corporation Commission related to the TE programs.
    • Assists in the preparation of budgets, annual reports, semi-annual reports and implementation plans.
    • Effectively and clearly communicates with management, peers, and stakeholders regarding TE programs.
    • May manage contractors and facilitate ongoing development and training of these resources.
    • May provide guidance for media campaigns related to managed programs including internet, television, radio, and print.
    • Represent the Company at industry conferences and meetings with external stakeholders related to the development TE programs.
    • Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
    • May include travel to local, regional and/or national conferences and workshops to stay current on best practices in transportation electrification.
    • Performs other assignments as requested in support of Transportation Electrification programs and initiatives.
    • Demonstrated experience analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information.
    • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and writing skills.
    • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture as well as attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated agility and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment,
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
    • Experience presenting to small and large audiences.

    Program Manager I

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in related field and at least two years of related professional experience such as program management.
    • Demonstrated self-starter and time management skills, completing all assignments on time.
    • Demonstrated experience analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information.
    • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and writing skills.
    • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture as well as attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated agility and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Program Manager II

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in related field and at least 4 years professional experience as Project Manager or Utility Supervisor, or two or more years of professional experience as a Program Manager I.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and has a good understanding of the project details.
    • Time management, technical knowledge, and economic consideration are exhibited in all assignments.
    • Strong leadership skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with or knowledge of electric vehicle technologies.
    • Working knowledge of Company operations and policies
    • Experience working with local, County, City and State governments.
    • Knowledge of implementation and maintenance of information technology projects.
    • Experience working with regulatory agencies and the preparation of regulatory filings.

    Program Manager Senior

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in related field and at least 6 years professional experience as Project Manager or Utility Supervisor, or three or more years of professional experience as a Program Manager I.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and has a good understanding of the project details.
    • Time management, technical knowledge, and economic consideration are exhibited in all assignments.
    • Strong leadership skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Company operations and policies.
    • Experience working with local, County, City and State governments.
    • Knowledge of implementation and maintenance of information technology projects.
    • Experience working with regulatory agencies and the preparation of regulatory filings.

    Pay Rate: $58,000 - $100,000 Depending on experience
